Abstract

Design and analysis of MCFs are described. For weakly-coupled MCFs, coupled-power theory is used to estimate crosstalk and SDM density, whereas, for strongly-coupled MCFs, coupled-wave theory is used to evaluate GDS originating from modal dispersion.
