Enhancing the interactions among dissipative Kerr solitons in an optical microresonator

Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate enhanced interactions among dissipative Kerr solitons in a nonlinear microresonator, via using a beating laser to incur controllable background modulation of the intracavity waveform. Our scheme enables deterministic single-soliton generation.
