Abstract
A highly sensitive electronic warfare receiver easily suffers from the electromagnetic interference from its co-site radar transmitter. Pure digital interference cancellation will lose efficacy when the power of the interferer is too high and saturates the front-end amplifier. Usually analog filters are employed in the front-end for necessary interference rejection. The traditional analog electrical filters are unsatisfactory in respect of wide bandwidth and agile reconfigurability. We propose a radio frequency analog photonic filter module for digitally adaptive wideband co-site interference cancellation. Both multipath effect of the interferer and adaptive multipath cancellation algorithm are systematically considered. Simulation results are demonstrated to show the effectiveness of the proposal.
