Abstract

A reflected wave coupled into laser diodes degrades linearity and SNR in analog video transmission systems.1,2 For reducing so-called self-coupling, many types of optical isolators are proposed. However, it is pointed out that a wideband optoelectric negative feedback (NFB) loop can eliminate the degradation of linearity and SNR caused by self-coupling without any isolator.
