Abstract
We have fabricated an integrated-optic spatial light modulator (IOSLM) which consists of an electrooptic grating1 structure addressable in thirty-two separate segments. It has been successfully used as a component in a 32-bit 17.5-Mbit/sec digital correlator. In this paper we report the operation of the correlator and discuss other uses of the grating structure In forming components for integrated optical circuits. A nonprogrammable version of the correlator has been reported.2
