Abstract

To optimize the industrial production of 1.3-μm BH lasers for high-bit-rate (340- and 660-Mbit/sec) monomode optical fiber transmission, we adopt a trade off between a high production yield and the good electrooptical qualities required for these high-performance systems and present partial results obtained with more than 1300 lasers.
