Abstract

A channel estimation algorithm is introduced and experimentally validated with a 112-Gbit/s PAM-4 transmission system. The algorithm is shown to estimate overall system bandwidth and demonstrates pre-compensation gains ranging from 0.8 to 1.5 dB.
