Fast Frequency Tuning of Silicon-Photonic Thermo-optic MZI Filters using “Turbo Pulse” Method

Abstract

We discuss and demonstrate the application of Turbo Pulse method to the silicon-photonic MZI based tunable filter. The tuning time was shortened to no longer than 7.0 μs from 36 μs without the method.
