Abstract

We propose a photonic signal processing technique enabling reconfigurable multiple mmWave-beam forming for 5G cellular systems. We demonstrate the beamforming capability with a 4-by-4 patch array antenna, achieving 15-dBi antenna gain and 8-Gbps throughput.
