Non-circularly-symmetric Mode-group Demultiplexer Based on Fused-type FMF Coupler for MGM Transmission

Abstract

A mode-group demultiplexer (MG-DEMUX) based on fused-type FMF coupler is proposed and fabricated for the LP11 mode group, based on which 2×5-Gb/s weakly-coupled MGM transmission over 10-km TMF is experimentally demonstrated with simple direct detection.
