Redundancy for Long-reach TWDM PON

Abstract

Two redundancy designs for long-reach TWDM PON without backup OLTs is proposed, protecting the truck fiber and optionally the CO. Network modeling shows availability of redundant long-reach PONs is better than traditional PONs.
