Lossless Operation of SOA-Integrated Silicon Photonics Switch for 8 × 32-Gbaud 16-QAM WDM Signals

Abstract

We demonstrate lossless transmission of 8-channel 32-Gbaud 16-QAM WDM signals through a 4×4 silicon PILOSS switch with a flip-chip bonded 4-ch InP-based SOA. Transmission up to 4 stages was confirmed by optimizing nonlinearity and OSNR.
