Abstract
We demonstrate eleven-channel, 32/44-Gbaud DP-16QAM WDM transmission through a polarization-insensitive 8×8 silicon photonics switch with all ports cyclically connected, corresponding to 35.2-Tb/s throughput-per-switch, eight-stage cascaded operation. The wall-plug energy efficiency of the switch was 0.51pJ/bit.
