A Fiberized Metamaterial Device for Ultrafast Control of Coherent Optical Signals

Abstract

We demonstrate selective transmission and absorption of 1-ps pulses, pulse shaping and 1-ps dark pulse generation in a fiber-optic device based on a plasmonic metamaterial, providing an example of all-optical signal processing with THz bandwidth.
