Inter-Core Skew Measurements in Temperature Controlled Multi-Core Fiber

Abstract

We investigate propagation delay (skew) between cores of an MCF and 2 spans of SMF in a temperature controlled environment. Temperature variations increase measured skew fluctuations with skew variation in SMF orders of magnitude larger than between MCF cores.
