Long-range, Power-efficient Distributed Flow Measurements Using Chirped-pulse Phase-sensitive Reflectometry

Abstract

We demonstrate a technique allowing to perform distributed wind speed measurements over >17 km with <0.6 km/h uncertainty at only 60 mW/m of power dissipation. Applications in dynamic line rating and catenary monitoring are envisaged.
