Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate enhanced efficiency of nonlinearity compensation, by 13dB, when deploying mid-link optical phase conjugation in discretely-amplified systems. Our demonstration is based on dispersion-loading, using standard transmission fiber, which enhances the reach by 75km.
