Service Provisioning Framework with Dynamic Margin Management for Optical Transport Networks

Abstract

This paper proposes a service provisioning framework exploiting awareness of current optical performance and OTN-switching to efficiently operate transport networks with reduced margins. Simulation results highlight reductions in number of line interfaces and rerouting events.
