Theoretical Analysis and Experimental Measurement of Intra-LP-mode DMD in Weakly-coupled FMF

Abstract

Based on the analysis of intra-LP-mode DMD in weakly-coupled FMF, we propose a modified fixed-analyzer method for its measurement and experimentally demonstrate that it may be one of the major impairments for IM/DD MDM transmission.
