Photonics-enabled 2Tx/2Rx coherent MIMO radar system experiment with enhanced cross range resolution

Abstract

Photonics enables a multi-target experiment of coherent MIMO radar. It confirms that coherence introduces almost one order of magnitude improvement in the cross-range resolution. Simulations demonstrates the coherent bi-band operation benefits on the system performance.
