Tunable single-longitudinal-mode laser based on polarimetric PT symmetry

Abstract

We demonstrate a PT-symmetric fiber laser based on gain and loss interplay between two polarization states. Single-mode output is achieved in within a tuning range from 1540 to 1565 nm with 0.05-nm step.
