OPTICAL FEEDBACK EFFECTS ON SUPERLUMINESCENT DIODES

Abstract

The effects of optical feedback on broadband sources such as the Superluminescent Diode, SLD, have not been previously reported. With rapid development of the fiber optic gyroscope where these devices are used as sources these effects may tend to limit the performance of such systems.
