Abstract
One temperature difference measuring system with an optical fiber interfero-meter has sensitivity as high as 10−5°C [1~3]. It can be used for differential thermal analysis of various physical or chemical phenomena, such as transition, melting, chemical or biochemical reaction. etc. The optical method is essential to detect smalI heat generation or absorption that is undetectable by conventional heat. detecting measures [4], the optical method is essentialIy effective. In this paper, performances of differential heat analysis using fiber-optics is theoreticaIly and experimenialIy investigated.
