Color center formation on CaF2 (111) surface investigated by low-energy-plasma-ion surfacing

Abstract

Low-energy-plasma-ion treatment has been employed to identify color centers on CaF2 components originating from fluorine depletion on CaF2 surfaces. The initial time and saturation peak absorption depends on the surface processing conditions.
