Nanophotonics Tunes Rare-Earth Nanophosphor Emission

Abstract

Current solid-state lighting technology is built on rare-earth-based phosphors. However, their large crystal size impedes the tuning, optimization, or manipulation of emitted light. Herein we demonstrate this can be achieved combining nanophosphors and nanophotonic architectures.
