Shape Analysis of Laser Deformed Metallic Nanoparticles

Abstract

High-intensity fs-laser pulses permanently change the form of silver nanoparticles in glass and result in optical dichroism. Optical and small angle x-ray scattering experiments are shown which clarify the 3-dimensional shape of the resulting particles.
