Abstract

Optical micro-nanofibers exhibit interesting properties including tight optical confinement, high fractional evanescent waves, steep field gradient and abnormal dispersion, which open opportunities for developing microscale fiber-optic components, devices ranging from resonators, lasers to sensors.
