Design of Highly Birefringence Solid Core Photonic Crystal Fiber with Elliptical Holes

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

A high birefringent photonic crystal fiber is designed using circular and elliptical air holes and numerically studied by finite element method. The birefringence value reaches the magnitude of 10-5 at 1.55 μm.
