Photonic bandgap fiber lasers and multicore fiber lasers for next generation high power lasers

Abstract

Photonic bandgap fiber lasers are realizing new laser spectra and nonlinearity mitigation that a conventional fiber laser cannot. Multicore fiber lasers are a promising tool for power scaling by coherent beam combination.
