Magneto-optic Waveguide in Optical Isolator Employing Nonreciprocal Guided-Radiation Mode Conversion for Athermal Operation

Abstract

Temperature dependence of an optical isolator with an amorphous Si guiding layer employing a nonreciprocal guided-radiation mode conversion is described. The magneto-optic waveguide with a TiO2 upper cladding layer is considered for athermal operation.
