Abstract

Two different digital signal procession schemes are proposed for optical Nyquist WDM signal. Based on constant-modulus processing, a post-filter by receiver-side duobinary shaping and MLSE are used to release inter-symbol interference (ISI) impact in the first scheme. DSP scheme based on multi-modulus blind equalizations (MMBE) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated in the second. It is found that the recovering 9-QAM-like signal in the second scheme has better performance than post-filter scheme under further strong filtering.
