Fractal-Inspired, Polarization-Insensitive Superconducting Nanowire Single-Photon Detectors

Abstract

A fractal design of superconducting nanowires integrated with nano-antennae is proposed to achieve polarization-insensitive single-photon detection. The simulated absorptance at 1550 nm for TE and TM polarizations are 80.1% and 80.3%, respectively.
