FEC Coding for Nonuniform QAM

Abstract

Nonuniform-QAM based on Huffman code is studied together with the LDPC coding. Our experimental results show that the proposed LDPC-coded nonuniform-QAM can improve the performances in both short and long-haul transmission systems.
