Accurate Laser Linewidth Estimation using the DA-ML Carrier Phase Estimator

Abstract

An accurate laser linewidth estimation technique is introduced based on the DA-ML phase estimator. Numerical simulations show that our method is constellation independent and applicable within a wide range of laser linewidth and symbol SNR.
