Plasmonic Photoconductors for High-Efficiency Terahertz Generation

Abstract

We present an efficient plasmonic photoconductive terahertz emitter based on a logarithmic spiral antenna that generates 100 µW of terahertz radiation in the 0.1 – 2 THz range, under a 20 mW optical pump.
