A Waveguide Directional Coupler Based on Quantum Nanostructures with Decay Interference

Abstract

We propose a two-waveguide directional coupler where the constituent waveguides are made of quantum structures that exhibit decay interference. Analytical and numerical results are presented and loss-free propagation and slow light switching occur.
