Sensing the Dielectric Properties of Metals at THz Frequencies Using Inverse Symmetry Broken Metamaterials

Abstract

Positive and inverse, asymmetric, double split-ring resonator structures are analyzed experimentally and numerically. The structures exhibit very sharp dark resonances which allow probing the dielectric properties of metals at THz frequencies.
