Interactions of Acoustic and Optical Waves in Ge-doped Silica Planar Optical Waveguide

Abstract

A full-vectorial finite element based approach, exploiting structural symmetry, is used to find interactions between guided fundamental quasi-TE optical mode and acoustic transverse and longitudinal modes in Ge-doped planar silica optical waveguide.
