Ultratrace Quantum Plasmonic Sensing

Abstract

Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based biochemical sensors are increasingly limited by the quantum statistics of light: the shot noise limit. We demonstrate an accessible method to surpass the shot noise limit in ultratrace SPR sensors.
