High-Amplitude Photoacoustic Ultrasound Transmitters using Nanostructured-Composite Films

Abstract

Carbon-nanotube (CNT)-PDMS composite films enable efficient photoacoustic conversion and produce high-amplitude ultrasound output. We present fabrication and characterization of such nano-structured transmitters and various applications including laser-generated focused ultrasound and long-range micro-ultrasonic treatment.
