Bending-based formulation of light intensity modulation for miniaturization of optical tactile sensors

Abstract

Miniaturization is a major limitation in the application of optical sensors for compensation of the lack of touch in robotic minimally invasive surgeries. In this study, a miniaturized tactile sensor is proposed, formulated, and validated.
