Optical Fibre-Based Reflective Displacement Sensing System for High Sensitivity Blade Tip-Clearance Measurements

Abstract

The present contribution shows the results of the performance of a custom designed optical fibre-based reflective displacement sensor for Blade Tip Clearance (TC) measurements in a scaled turbine rotor. Results so far show great sensitivity.
