Mid-IR sensing of volatile organic compounds at ppb levels

Abstract

Surface Enhanced Infrared Absorption Spectroscopy is employed in a sensing platform to detect and quantify volatile organic compounds at trace levels, in the field of environmental monitoring for health related issues. The detection of ppb of benzene is demonstrated as a proof of principle.
