Macroscopic Raman imaging on tooth for caries detection

Abstract

This work reports a Raman imaging setup for full scale (~7 mm in diameter) tooth mapping for mineral concentration distribution of enamel layer. The results prove that Raman imaging is suitable for dental caries detection.
