Achromatic Broadband Diffractive Lenses for Focusing and Imaging in LWIR

Abstract

In contrast to conventional bulk optics, achromatic planar diffractive lenses operating in the LWIR (8um-12um) regime has been demonstrated in this work, which provides an efficient way for the development of compact, ultra-lightweight LWIR devices.
