Abstract
An approach is described for computational modeling of the electromagnetic Gaussian Schell-model beam. Scalar diffraction is applied separately to orthogonal polarization components and the parameters for the cross-spectral density that define the beam are mapped to random complex amplitude screens. Example beam propagation results are presented.
