Abstract

The sky emission between 15 and 26 μ has been measured at the Jungfraujoch (alt. 3570 m) using grating spectrometer with high resolution. Absorption coefficients have been determined for window regions between water vapor rotational lines. The emissivity of cirrus clouds could be estimated from assumed cloud temperatures and measured cloud emission.
