Abstract

The incorporation of a second-stage CEC reflective element at the focal plane of a paraboloidal dish reflector is analyzed, and the improvement in solar concentration capability is computed. By compensating for insufficiently large relative apertures of the primary, the second stage was found to increase the concentration to a close proximity of the ideal limit.
