Abstract

Characteristics of the transmission of visual radiation in water are discussed and underwater transmission data applying to extended ranges are presented. Measurements have been made with an intense, narrow beam, coherent radiation source which has a spectral peak at 5300 Å and a bandwidth of 24 Å.
