Abstract

Photoinduced Hall currents are generated in a photorefractive strontium barium niobate crystal by excitation of non-steady-state holographic currents and by application of a modulated external magnetic field. Electrons are the dominant photoinduced charge carriers, and the Hall mobilities μ for migration along and perpendicular to the c axis are determined as μc=(4±1)×10-6 m2 V-1 s-1 and μc=(1.3±0.3)×10-6 m2 V-1s-1.
